Nice article. I'm writing a book that's related to this in a distant way, and one thing I've noticed which is interesting and also serves to bind together the possible ex-Atlanteans are there approach to woman's rights.

Until the influence of Christianity and the West reached them, the Iroquois, Berber, and Basque all maintained a surprisingly modern approach to women's rights and sexual equality. The Berbers are also thought to have given the Ancient Greeks Athena (called Nieth) as the goddess of civilization, who they created as the daughter of Poseidon (not Zeus) - who also happens to be an Ancient Moroccan export.

The Berbers are only known to have one prehistoric deity known as Mari and who seems to be a more witch-like variant of the Berber's Athena, but noticeably also a woman.

I don't know much about the Iroquois, but I do know that their societies were matrilineal.

Neat stuff!
