Dean made his debut in 1981 as lead singer/songwriter for the Canadian Rock Band, The Arrows. An independent record 
release “Misunderstood” co-produced by “Daniel Lanois” at “Grant Avenue Studios” was followed by a record deal with “A&M Records” which produced the bands hit singles”Meet me in the Middle”,”Talk Talk”, and “Heart of the City”. During this period Dean had developed as a top songwriter at A& M Records .

The following is a small sample of his hit song parade: “Heaven Help My Heart” Top 10 song for country superstar “Wynnona Judd” and Australian star “Tina Arena”.
“Dark Horse” ..his 1 hit single for “Amanda Marshall” Top 10 country hit for “Mila Mason” was credited as a “guaranteed hit song” by “Elton John” on the “Rosie O’Donnell Show” . His song “Birmingham” Top 20 hit single for “Amanda Marshal”. “Unsung Hero” Hit single for country star “Terri Clark” and Australian “Tina Arena”. “Trust Me (This is Love)” Top 10 hit single for “Amanda Marshal” Also recorded by Australians “Rick Price and Tina Arena” (duet) and Canadian Legend “Anne Murray”. “Wonder ..8″ Recorded by French superstar “Liane Foley”, British girl/pop band “The Honeyz” and Spanish group “Greta Y Los Garbo”. Are you starting to get the picture!!!!! The man is a musical genius.Dean has twice been nominated for a Juno for songwriter of the year and has
received many SOCAN and ASCAP awards.Over the years Dean has been kept busy producing,recording,writing and
playing live either with a band or in solo songwriter situations.
His new cd “Shed my Sin” is a soulful rootsy collection featuring some of the best players in Canada.
