A former attorney, a young Candis ( in her twenty's)  joined the Health Care field as a Manager of Human Resources and Leaving Legacies chronicles her phenominal 11 year meteoric rise in Health Care field.

Through stories both good and bad, Candis shares her life and leaderships lessons with readers.  
The highlight of that portion of her professional career was when  she served as the Sr. Vice-President and Executive Director (A) of the North Brooklyn Health Network, a member network of the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation. In that capacity she served as the Chief Executive Officer for a $300 million dollar healthcare network comprised of Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center, Cumberland Diagnostic and Treatment Center and a host of clinics and school health programs.
