Ok.. I guess it hasn't been "ALL a HOLIDAY"..can't keep a work a holic down..smile. I thought I would at least tell you about some of the folks who will be interviewed in the Fall.

Barbara Stahura.

Barbara Stahura encountered the awful reality of traumatic brain injury the day a hit-and-run driver turned left in front of he husband, Ken, as  he was riding his motorcycle. His helmet saved his life, but his brain sustained a terrible injury.

One of the ways Barbara coped with Ken’s condition and her own compassion fatigue was through journaling. She has been a professional writer for more than 20 years and has journaled for nearly that long. After Ken’s injury, she began to wonder if people with TBI might benefit from what is often referred to as “reflective writing.” she created and began leading journaling workshops for people with brain injury. Out of these workshops evolved the book, After Brain Injury: Telling Your Story, which she co-wrote with speech therapist Susan B. Schuster, MA, CCC-SLP.

After Brain Injury: Telling Your Story has been hailed as “a landmark book for people with brain injury and their friends and family” and “a gentle process for uncovering the injured and recovering self.”

Dr Helene Leoni-

Helene Leonetti , MD, a practicing gynecologist for over 20 years,  a published researcher on bio-identical hormones, a herbalist and a Reiki Master, sees about 120 patients every week. If 2-3 of those women are completely comfortable with and love themselves unconditionally, that’s above average. “Look at me, I’m so fat.” “Everything I do just isn’t enough.” Who hasn’t uttered these words or heard a woman utter them? Self-esteem does not come easy to many, especially women.

Yet, self-esteem is essential to good health as Dr. Leonetti explains in her new book, Hardwired for Love: Nurturing Yourself to Vibrant Health (indi Publishing Group, June 1, 2010).  How can we heal, have good physical health, and be emotionally balanced if we don’t love ourselves? It's virtually impossible. That's why Dr. Leonetti is all about what she calls "the self-esteem gene," which needs to be activated regardless of age. Dr. Leonetti describes her own journey through self-esteem trials and tribulations – bad relationships with men, a suicide attempt – until she realized that she needed to accept and cherish herself. Now she teaches women to heal, to move beyond conditions like depression, chronic disease, and what she calls “stink’in think’in.” In her book, she delves into the steps we need to take in order to develop our self-esteem and thus our health:
