Winter Robinson is a medical intuitive, a healer, and a woman who comes from a long line of psychics.
She was a very interesting guest on Blogtalk radio recently and she brought up a number of very interesting topics to think about.
One of the easiest and best ways to help heal the earth, is to conserve her energy.
One of the effective methods Winter suggested was to eat foods that are local.
This means foods that haven’t been transported 2000 miles away. That conserves gas and energy.
One of the ways that those of us in cold climates can eat nutritious organic veggies all year round is to build what is known as a hoop house.
I looked this up and found that the Center for Innovative Food Technology gave a demonstration of year-round growing techniques by harvesting vegetables from a “hoop house” structure it constructed at Bittersweet Farms on Archbold-Whitehouse Road in Whitehouse.
A hoop house is like a greenhouse but requires almost no energy or heat. The food technology center, a program of EISC Inc., has the house to study increasing produce production and to demonstrate how area farmers can increase profits by using the concept.
Their harvest included Chioggia and Burpee Golden beets; Waldman Green, Red Fire, and Buttercrunch lettuce; Florida Broadleaf mustard; and Cherry Belle, French Breakfast, and White Icicle radishes.
"As someone who does radio and TV guest appearances, I've met a lot of talk show hosts and other media people. Most of them are talented and hard-working people, and very good at what they do. But until I was a guest on Frankie Picasso's show, I had never encountered someone who impressed me as much on the personal level as on the professional one.
"From the moment we began talking, I felt I was having a relaxed-but-intelligent conversation with a long-lost friend. With her diverse and remarkable background, Frankie has a way of putting people at ease and drawing out the best in them. She has an instinctive sense of when to talk, when to listen, when to be serious, and when to be funny. And unlike some other radio hosts, Frankie seemed to know that the show was supposed to be about the guest, not about her.
"My guess is that Frankie brings the same skills, the same commitment, the same humanity to her work as a coach. She is clearly a woman with a passion for life and a passion for client service. I know now why they call her "Unstoppable", and I would think that anyone who works with her as a client will quickly be inspired to be unstoppable, as well".
